Transparency and Consent in Data-Driven Smart Environments

Christof Koolen

Faced with these issues, this paper sheds light on how the principles of transparency and (informed) consent, as well as a recourse to technology, can contribute to a higher level of informational protection for consumers in data-driven smart environments.
