Case C-61/19 Orange România SA c. Autoritatea Naţională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP), Court of Justice of the European Union, judgement of 11 November 2020.
Stating in handwriting, on an otherwise standardized contract, the intention to refuse the photocopying and storage of identity documents does not constitute a freely given, informed and unambiguous consent according to the European data protection legal framework.
